From Stephanie -     Chemo Day 1 - We arrived to the clinic early for our appointment with Kaden's Oncologist. We spent most of the morning meeting with the Care Team. The Pharmacist came and explained each medicine he would be receiving and all possible side effects. Kaden asked a lot of questions and shared his thoughts and concerns. His room was not ready so we waited in the exam room as one by one our phones died!

We moved to the room and met a new set of Doctors. They explained again what would be happening and were able to answer additional questions. Kaden ate a big dinner while watching the football game and waited for the meds to arrive.

Everything finally arrived and the treatment began at 10pm. Kaden will receive four medicines in each treatment. The first two are given together over one hour. The third is given separately and the fourth is given over 48 hours. He will finish the treatment at 1am Friday morning. I kept waiting all night for the worst side effects (still knocking on wood). He had nausea which they treated quickly. He was able to sleep peacefully throughout the night and late into the morning.

I am praying the remainder of the treatment will continue to have minimal side effects (still knocking on wood).
