Journal entry by Julie Smith —
Good evening friends! I had my scheduled chemo treatment today. ♡ NO REACTION ♡
I am amazed at God's Grace!
Today is the first time I struggled to get out of bed to go. Guess it finally caught up with me that each reaction has gotten worse & can be life threatening in itself. Today was #4, only two more to go! Then
radiation will last 6 weeks.
I feel God granted me a peaceful treatment just when I needed it most.
Surgeon in Pittsburgh was thrilled yesterday. No evidence of regrowth on exam & CAT scan was clear too. This cancer is aggressive & known to reappear even during chemo.
He will see me again and plan maintenance chemo for me when I'm done this current regimen.
Also working with the Vocational Team thru my disability insurance company in an attempt to keep working in some capacity to maintain not only my insurance, but my job security as well. Most of you know how important that is to me. I truly feel God gifted me to be a nurse, and truly believe He is not finished with me yet.
God is so good!
Thank you all, once again, for the continued huge outpouring of support. It touches me to my core, and your prayers lifting me up to God are priceless.
May each of you be richly blessed thru this Holy Week,
as we make our way with Christ to the cross & resurrection, our salvation!
To God be the Glory, Hallelujah!
Much love,
Jules ♡
