Journal entry by Julie Parker

Sunday - two weeks ago today - I was enjoying the evening sitting out at Sante Wine Bar with my friends Kathe and Garry and began to feel more and more uncomfortable in the middle of my chest.  I finally wandered home and went to bed, but about 11 got up and got dressed and rode my chair down to the back door and called 911. I apologized to the EMTs saying I wasn't sure if anything was really going on. A couple of days later I was waking up after open heart surgery and a quadruple bypass. I am now at Care Partners Rehab (11 Hopkins St off Sweeten Creek) and I will be here AT LEAST until my 70th birthday a week from today. I am so hoping to be released that day so I can celebrate with my peeps at Jubilee!

OF COURSE I immediately started - my next book and the title will be...(drumroll) In Which Julie's Heart BREAKS WIDE OPEN!

Caring Bridge is a way to organize help in my healing journey. Please explore and see what's what.
