Journal entry by Julia Sims

I wanted to add one more note I left out, so sorry. Chemo is so hard on the body, really hard to take. It does not know good cells from bad cells, so it kills everything. There are the immediate reactions just after chemo, and then the long term side effects. My fingers and toes are completely numb, really about half of both feet are numb. They tell us that can get better and heal, but there is a chance the numbness won’t go away. I do have a hard time holding an ink pen, or holding on to things I pick up, I have not fallen, but have stumbled several times. I try to be very careful and pay close attention to anything I’m doing. Even though I am eating better, food and drinks are still really hard. Foods just have strange tastes, water still tastes like it has butter in it, still can’t drink sweet tea and I love sweet tea. Being on blood thinners for my heart and now the chemo, the bruising is bad. My teeth are very weak, some breaking. All of these things are the chemo. So just wanted to ask that you please pray that in time, God’s time, these side effects will go away, that the Lord will heal and restore. We know He certainly can and again, this is His story, not ours, so please pray with us. Love you all❤️ Julia
