It all seemed to start in late summer early fall.  Judy wasn't feeling herself and was repeatedly diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI).  After several different antibiotics and a temperature almost every day, it was decided to find a different doctor.  Weight was falling off her and she just did not feel good.  Stephanie put a note on her high school Facebook page asking for a recommendation for an Internist in Sioux Falls.  She received a name within moments from a friend and an appointment was made.  The internist was thorough and immediately ordered a CT Scan for mom.  She received a call a couple days later from internists office and was told she needed to come in to the office and "bring someone with you".  Not really the words you want to hear. 


Stacie went with mom and they were told that mom had a mass on the ureter/bladder area and it appeared cancer had spread to other organs.  She had further tests with her new oncologist, Dr. Nourkeyhani (Dr. Nor) and we now know mom has metastatic bladder cancer.  Organs affected are the bladder, liver, kidney and spots on her lungs.  


Now the battle begins.  We ask your positive thoughts and prayers for mom.
