Ms. Cohn as she was known to me at Summit Middle School and the Summit Senior High School, was extremely instrumental in giving direction and support to my life during a time of great difficulty. She resurrected a play by Dr. Helen Armstead Johnson titled 'In Dahomey' and cast James Norris and myself as leads. She had deep passion for her craft of directing and using your creative imagination to own your part in plays, musicals and life.
With love and gratitude I bid so long for now to a beautiful woman who dared to share the light she was given to be a difference maker!

Judy stayed in our rented flat in London in late 70s when I was an ASM at the National Theatre & she took a course at RADA. We stayed friends since & myself, partner & my then 14 year old twins stayed with her & Ed one Christmas. She was so generous & so dynamic & Ed was so lovely. She grabbed life & shook it.

Judy was a lovely woman and a dynamic influence. She was a role model in so many ways. I will miss her, but will always keep her in my minds eye...with her dancers stance and actors voice.

I always loved chatting with Judy about so many different things. Always a friendly face and a hello. Ella will miss Judy’s acting lessons and warm spirit. Wherever you are Judy, I hope there is Shakespeare.

My heart is broken. But I’m so thankful for the time I had with her, for the endless stories she told, for the immense love for her ever-growing family, for the things she taught me along the way, and for sharing her incomparable energy with the world. She was our Shining Star! ⭐️

A halo of light and love surrounded you wherever you went, even if it was just driving me with you to CVS in your car with the fuzzy seatbelt cover. I will miss your summer iced tea and New Year's and block parties. Your spirit is shining and singing through the glow of the moon-lit sky tonight.
