Journal entry by Judith Holt —
A node in my thyroid has grown to the point where surgery looks inevitable. I see a surgeon this week at Mass Eye and Ear. Even if this is cancer, which we don’t know yet, the survival rate is excellent. Surgery seems pretty easy with a 1 to 2 week recovery. Piece of cake.
I want to communicate about this here only on caring bridge. Let’s keep our other discussions, emails and texts on everyday things. I will post what is happening here only. It is healthier for me to do it this way. I don’t want to talk about this day in and out. There are far to many other fun things to focus on…Grandchildren, the weather, climate change, the olympics, etc. Thanks!
Now you know all that I know. There is a nodule and it has grown to the point where they are sending me to a surgeon. It was seen on a CT scan. It went from 7mm to 3.2 cm. Almost 5 times in size. More later.
love, J
