Lisa and Mike and your clan,
I go by your house once a week now that I am playing with a friend at the Atlanta Golf Course. I look at the white Adirondack chairs, and I love the fact that you have kept this as "home base". If I see your car there sometime, I'll stop! And, I can't stop thinking about your mom on the golf course and how much she loved it, playing golf with your dad and learning the game, and just doing things together. Her voice is in my ear, I'm telling you! You know what I mean!

Dear Lisa,

I was thrilled to hear a while back that Mike had suggested that your family purchase the farmstead. I am pleased to learn that it all worked out and closing has occurred. It is my sincere hope that all in your family enjoy a long and joyous life there—even if on a part-time basis.

I was touched when I read your latest journal entry. The five photographs that you included were of particular interest. The first photo, of the sunset, practically jumped out at me. I immediately realized that it was not taken at the Holt farmstead. It was taken on what I always refer to as Rock Creek Road, which shows up on Google Earth/Maps as 450 East Road, very near Rock Creek Cemetery (it is on the left just beyond the little wooded ravine). Sunset at Rock Creek Cemetery—of course, that should be the first photo.

So happy for you all. It’s great that family will continue in the area to keep the farm land. It’s in our DNA and may not be possible for all. Love to all and God bless you future on the farm

Yes I had heard you were going to buy the farm. I am so very happy, I know just like you it is totally GODS plan. I rejoice with you and Mike and the kids. Hope to stop by sometime for coffee or glass of wine. Your family is daily in my prayers since moving back to Illinois and getting reacquainted with your mom and dad and becoming steadfast friends. As your Mom and aunts use to call me Maudie four. Love and prayers always.

I am so excited for you and your family, Lisa! Your folks’ home needs a family; needs you and yours. Your folks would be so tickled.
Like Marilyn, I, too, had been thinking of Kent & Judith’s home and what nice family might move there someday. So awesome that it is you and your family! Would love to see you sometime! All the very best on your new endeavor in Central Illinois. Cyndie A.

Lisa-your mom and dad would be sooo happy about this. It’s so wonderful you can come home where your heart is. I have thought of you and your family so many times over the months. Believe it not, as I was lying in my bed last night I was actually think of you. I hope all your mom’s coffee buddies will see you again soon. 💕
