Journal entry by Sally O'Brien —
Yesterday was a big day for JP and our families, he finished his last round of chemo and got to ring the bell!!
For JP this was the beginning of the end of his cancer journey, the light at the end of the tunnel. He still has a couple of tough weeks ahead of him where his counts will drop one last time from this round of chemo. The next three to four weeks JP's counts will drop and we will continue our visits to Mankato and get transfusions when needed. Then, towards the middle of May he should start climbing back up, and at the end of May he has his final bone marrow biopsy where we hope to see that he remains cancer free. We are very confident we will get good results from this biopsy as JP's preliminary blood tests after the last two rounds of chemo has shown that he is cancer free!!!!
So, while we have such great news, we ask for your prayers one last time as we enter the second part of this last cycle.
