Journal entry by Niki Mello Kissling

Message from Josh:
Been a long time since an update. I have been extremely touched by everyone who visited me at the hospital. I do t remember who all visited; but the love that I received was therapeutic and heartwarming. I am now out of rehab and living with maranta because I can not be alone in case I fall. My rehab therapists and nurses and family have been amazed at my improvement from my initial accident. Currently I can walk and talk but my vision was damaged in the accident. I have had surgery on my left eye and will soon have surgery on my right eye. Until my eyes have completely healed and improved I can not contact people via phone or internet because I can not read. I also suffered damage to my right hand which makes it difficult to type. I would like to spend time and see and contact everyone but due to my current condition and living arraignment it is difficult. If you would like to spend time with me or contact me you will have to get in contact with other people and maybe we can can meet somewhere if I am available. My last surgery will be to replace the 1/3 of a skull I am missing, in June. Following that surgery I will likely restart my life as it was before the accident. I am doing well, in good spirits, happy and grateful. Part of what has helped me through this difficult period in my life is the love and support of my friends and family. Thank you all for your concern and love and continued support for my healthy and happy recovery.
