Joseph’s Story

Site created on July 17, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

On July 14th, 2019, Joseph was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident while traveling home. He suffered multiple injuries to include punctured & collapsed lungs, traumatic brain injury, broken hip & ankle, lacerated liver, and much more.  It was through God's mercy that he survived.

The family asks for your continued prayers for Joseph's recovery and thanks to you for your support.

Quick update on where we are...
Joseph and Joe left for Virginia this morning. Joseph will be attending an inpatient intensive TBI Program at Hunter Holmes VA in Richmond. The goal is for him to be able to return to independent living. He has also begun the Med Board process of the Army which will determine if he is able to continue serving. Continue to pray for him in this phase, for much success and recovery.
In addition he is now collar free!!  He is about 90% healed and no longer needs to wear it. He does need to be careful and will be monitored for one year for signs of the screws failing. His surgeon is very pleased with how it looks.
Life will definitely be different here without him. I especially will miss our morning walks where I learned so much about everything including racing and diving.
God has been so gracious to us and we continue to give Him all the glory.
