Journal entry by Stephanie Newland —
Joe got some disheartening news today. One of the leads on his ICD moved out of place. They have to go back in, move it to where it should be, and resecure it in place. This also means he has to spend another night in the hospital. He’s quite discouraged about it. And I get it. Being here this long definitely wears on you. I just keep reminding him that one more day in the hospital to ensure he can live the rest of his years is a good trade off.
