Hi Sheri, I was thinking of Joseph today, and of your family, and wanted to let you know that you remain in my thoughts.

Oh, Sheri, I don't know what made me visit Caringbridge today, but I wanted to visit all my kids that I've known since starting this journey with Jameson back in 2005. Joseph was one of them and I am beyond heartbroken to hear of his passing. The stress from enduring this horrific journey goes way beyond what anyone expects and I understand as I, too, deal with anxiety and panic attacks. You are an amazing mom and should be proud of all that you have accomplished, especially when there were times I'm sure you were just so exhausted from sadness. Your family sounds like your rock and I am so glad you have each other to be there for support. Love to you all. Marion

Sheri, I'm one of the people who was touched by your young Joseph and the struggles he went through. I am glad you decided to participate in this world by way of helping other families go through difficult medical times, similar to yours, you have a lot to be proud of. I pray your living children are doing well. Peace be with you and your lovely family.

Just amazing! I was changed by Joseph too and was just thinking about him. His life mattered to so many people and many people were touched by him. You have such a gift of writing and it is great to see what you have done in your life because of, and in spite of, the circumstances. I am sure Joseph is happy and proud that you are living your life and helping others. I am a nurse and I know you have something to offer to patients and their families that I cannot because I have not walked your path. Thank you so much for sharing and God bless you and your family!

Dear Sheri,
Your Joseph would be proud of his 'ol Mom. I was one of those people that came to "love" Joseph, you and your Family through your posts many years ago. I can't hear the phrase "stool sample" and not think of the picture of Joseph holding that tiny toilet in a bottle. I have never forgotten Joseph and I remember him each year through Heroes for Children. Though time continues to pass, he is remembered fondly because of his courage, his bravery and his beautiful spirit. Thank you so much for this update on you and your beautiful family. Wow It's amazing to hear from you! We also came into a 10 year landmark this yer. Maddisyn was 10 years cancer free and we went to St Thomas (pre hurricane) to celebrate. We travel every year on her cancer free-iversary. It is a much bigger celebration than anything else in our home and in our lives. All of her friends feel the same way. I too suffered from PTSD, always when the Halloween stuff came out, I'd go into isolation for 3 months. I finally had EMDR therapy and can now dress up for Halloween and participate fully. And no longer go into my 3 month funk. That therapy was extremely difficult!!!! But worth it! I would love to keep in touch with you more! I'm amazed by your story! I'm on FB...
