Joseph’s Story

Site created on December 10, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Tuesday, December 8th Dad went in for surgery to repair a leaky heart value.  During the procedure there was a complication when removing a tube from his aortic valve which tore his aorta.  As a result he had to undergo emergency open heart surgery to replace the aorta.  Due to these unexpected complications his recovery will be longer and harder than originally anticipated.  Thoughts and prayers will be greatly needed throughout.

Dad came home today.  He is getting used to the pump which is in his arm 24/7 to receive the inotropic medicine.  This is to make his heart pump more efficiently.  We are all glad he is home from the hospital and hope the medicine helps him feel better each day.
