Joseph’s Story

Site created on November 22, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On October 15th Joey Hovland was involved in a catastrophic accident at work his foot was amputated by a machine. He was flown by helicopter to north memorial where they were unable to to reattach his foot and the doctors had to do a below the knee amputation. Joy wanted a place to be able to post updates to one place so I thought this would be a good place for her to do so.

Journal entry by Joy Hovland

Sorry it has been awhile for an update. Joey has been home for a while now, trying to get a routine back to his life. I have to thank everyone for support, I did take time off to stay home and help with his daily routine. He has care services coming in, and still doing his i.v.
One day at time. Today with the sunshine he is in a way better mood, hopefully get him out of the house for awhile today.
