Dear Jonathan Thamson family,
We are deeply sad for your huge lost, the passing away of your beloved son, wonderful Jonathan. Although you don’t know us and we don’t know you, our life was close and parallel to your life. We, the parent of Shiri and Leor, also had children late in our life. We also love hiking, traveling and music. But something very special happened to all of us was the birth of our first child on February 7th 2005. Well Jonathan and Shiri are not the only children, who were born at this special date at Fairfax hospital. Our children grew and probably were in the same elementary school, Greenbrier West. The first time Shiri and Jonathan knew about each other is during band time at Rocky Run middle school. They set near each other in band for two years. Well, they continued be part of the same band in Chantilly high school. As Shiri’s mom, I wasn’t aware of Jonathan, until last November 2021, where my daughter told me about this special boy Jonathan that she knows since 7th grade, who, apparently, was born the same date as her in the same hospital, but also has been in the NICU as her, after his birth. I thought this is so special, I must meet him. I may had being passing near his incubator while going to my daughter’s incubator. I may had passed his mom or dad and didn’t know. These where my thoughts then. Talking about Jonathan, we realized, that his sister is in the band with our son, Leor, although older in one year. We were very excited about this amazing crossing. My daughter couldn’t wait to celebrate their birthday together with the bend. Unfortunately, she and the band had to celebrate this date with just memories…

Dear Mari, Jeff & Carmen, the legacy of your son Jonathan will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew & loved him. The times we shared with him will always be a part of our treasured memories. He was such a beautiful presence in this world. May you always find comfort in knowing that your angel will always be with the three of you.

We ask the Lord to wrap His loving arms around you and just to be with you and comfort you, day and night. We ask Him to bring each of you a special sign, so that when you see it, you’ll feel His love and caring for you, and you’ll be reminded that He’s still right there with you, every minute of every day. We ask Him to bring healing to your broken hearts and to help you with anything you need. We ask him to put His shield of protection over all of you, and to watch over you while you take care of everything. We ask all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
