Jonah’s Story

Site created on June 12, 2021

Thanks for following Jonah’s Journey. On March 19, 2021, he was diagnosed with a rare liver disorder, Biliary Atresia. We appreciate all of the prayers and support as we navigate this journey and put our hope in the Lord.

Happy October and National Liver Awareness Month!

We have a few, exciting updates for our village as we kick off an exciting month to spread hope and awareness.

  1. Most importantly, Jonah is recovering so well! He is rolling around everywhere, constantly smiling, and gaining weight. So far, he has managed to drop from 14 medications to 11! Right now we are working on introducing food other than formula and some kind of sleep routine - typical baby things.
  2. Our family has partnered with The Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA) for assistance with a lifetime of transplant-related expenses. COTA helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing free fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses.
  3. As part of our partnership with COTA, we will be transferring all of our Jonah's Journey updates and subscribers to www.COTAforJonahsBAJourney.com. We greatly appreciate everyone who has been following us since the personal Facebook page updates and CaringBridge days and look forward to keeping you up-to-date on our new page.
  4. Our first Liver Awareness Month celebration is a batch of limited edition Jonah's Journey Liver Awareness Month apparel in liver awareness green! Proceeds will be donated to COTA in honor of Jonah's BA Journey. Anything donated in honor of Jonah Moore will be made available to Jonah for his lifetime. Don't wait - the first batch closes on Tuesday, October 5!
