John’s Story

Site created on July 21, 2019

Beginning in 2010, John began to exhibit symptoms of Lewy Body dementia.  After extensive tests, he was diagnosed in December 2015 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Lewy Body dementia, or LBD, is an often misdiagnosed, progressive type of dementia that impacts a patient’s motor skills, spatial awareness, basic movement, balance, memory, problem-solving skills, and often causes severe psychiatric indicators—including delusions and hallucinations.

This site is about his journey with LBD.  The Solie family appreciates all of the love and prayers family and friends have shared.  This Caring Bridge site is our way of keeping everyone updated on his health and an opportunity for him to share the affects of LBD on his life.  Thank you for visiting.

To learn more about LBD, visit https://www.lbda.org/.

*Note: Caring Bridge is a free site powered by donations. The ask for $30 at the bottom of the page supports the Caring Bridge platform but is optional not mandatory.  Please feel free to enjoy the site without donating.
