Johnny was a beautiful soul, kind and compassionate, funny with an unassuming manner. He was a wonderful human being and as his sister I am richer for the memories he has left me. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved skiing, music, golf and he was generous supporting the arts, the Gardiner library and dedicated to keeping yellow house in the family. Thanks Johnny for the fun times, the laughter and knowing you loved us all.

Dear Kim, Sam, Julia & Xander and all. Sad to hear the news, but glad to know that you were all there for John, and that peace found him, and hope that it finds you too. I count myself fortunate to have known him, and to have made music together. He was remarkable in his ability to maintain long relationships with his friends, and in bringing people together. Yes, it's sad, but I hear his voice and his songs in my mind and I know I'll have him with me as I move through this life I've been given. Much love to you all. ~Jeff

Kim, Julia, Sam, Xander and family. We are so sorry to hear of John's passing and send our love at this difficult time. He was such a unique person, who loved his family and friends, enjoyed helping people via his work and was the keeper of Merryweather traditions and lore. There are so many great memories of golfing, swimming and boating, and especially just conversing and reflecting on many subjects with him while sitting on the Main Cabin porch. He was such a presence, and his spirit and legacy will live on.
Much Love,
Wendy and Mike

My heart and thoughts are with you all during this sad time. John was a force in the Bailey family and I'm grateful for his presence in Talia and Jenny's lives. Time spent at Yellow House with all of you is foundational for them.
I know you will take care of yourselves and each other and honor his legacy of optimism, kindness and grace. Much love, Diane

Johnny was one of a kind, a very special cousin, and I am so pleased that we shared as much as we did. I treasure the memories of experiencing the challenges of golf (and life) with our dads, with each other and with family and friends. I remember when that adorable little blond curly haired boy, my little cousin, was born and have taken pleasure in being part of his life over so many hills and valleys and especially on our dear golden pond. Sending love to all. Gill

Dear Sweet, Loving Family… My heart is broken, and I am glad Johnny Shaw suffers no more. I loved so much about him, but what I admired most was his ability to take the most horrendous situations, and find the positive, with grace and conviction. It does not surprise me that he laughed until the end. I simply wish he was still here. I take that back, he always will be with us. We will celebrate him at the Mo and every day. With love, Michele

Hard to believe that we were playing rounds of golf just a few weeks ago. John was so stoic throughout this journey. Brenda and I send our love to ail the Shaw clan.
