Journal entry by Julia Binder —
Dad passed away late last night surrounded by mom, his kids and their spouses, and the dogs. He was relaxed and ready.
We feel so deeply grateful that we’ve had the opportunity to spend the last week together at Yellow House - watching home videos, listening to Dad’s music, and laughing. Dad kept us laughing until the very end - some of his last words were, during a very sentimental home video moment, leaning over to tell us that the volume was “a little loud.”
Our plan is to spend the weekend together as a family resting and reflecting. We’ll be in touch soon regarding details of his memorial which will take place in Gardiner in the weeks to come.
Our deepest thanks to each one of you for supporting us throughout this journey. You have helped us find the strength in the most difficult moments and we look forward to seeing you all soon, giving some big hugs, and turning the music up loud.
