John’s Story

Site created on March 5, 2019

2018 was a Challenging year health wise! Shortly after Christmas I was notified that my last chest CT was abnormal 😕. After numorous tests and a biopsy it was confirmed to be a mass in my left lung. After much discussion  we decided that radiation and chemo treatments were  the best options. Treatments began the week of March 4th. We will try to keep this site updated so everyone can stay informed.  Thanks in advance for everyone’s kind thoughts and prayers.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Ellen Peattie —

Hi everyone. Here’s the latest update on John. We had a brief setback two weeks ago when John developed a rash and had an unusually high thyroid level in his lab results. They decided not to do his immunotherapy at that time.
Now the good news. This week he had a CT Scan to check progress and hopefully his next treatment. The CT showed another 50% reduction in the size of the tumor. Great news!!  Then they decided to go forward with the treatment since the rash has not gotten any worse. Hope that gets better and is not an issue.
So all in all good things. Thanks as always for your love, prayers and support.  God is good and continues to bless us. Stay well everyone. Love you all.
