My husband Will and John were army buddies in Germany in the mid to late 70's. They kept in touch for the last 45 years.
I never met him in person but spoke frequently to him on the phone in NY.
May John RIP and God has a new angel 😇. We know that he is no longer suffering and is at peace. 🙏 We love you John. God Bless your family that remains here on earth. Until we meet in Heaven.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know him long, but we had a good friendship and I know that because his faith was strong he is with Our Lord and Saviour. He told me often he was not afraid to die. He knew where he would be, free from pain and suffering, in everlasting peace and joy in God's holy rest. I loved him.

My most sincere condolences to John’s family and loved ones. I always enjoyed the wit and creativity he expressed throughout his cancer journey on this site. May he Rest In Peace.

This makes me so sad. I first met John when he interviewed with our team at the NMDP. I liked him immediately. Rest in Peace, my friend. I will miss your poetry and thoughts on life. You helped me immensely.

I am devastated to hear this news. John was a gift & I was so very blessed to have been lucky enough to call him my sweet sweet friend. I’m so grateful that I was able to visit with him one last time in hospice & tell him how much he was loved and how much he will be missed. Forever in my 💔 heart. Fly with the angels my sweet friend.
