The last few days have been good. I have had 1 OT appointment. It was just an evaluation. She helped me manage steps better, stand up, sit down, dress myself and get into bed. She was very helpful giving me useful techniques. Be cause of her help I should be using my forearm crutches as my primary walking aid by the end of the weekend. That means no more walker. PT has visited me 3 times this week. I am able to lift my leg a few inches for a few seconds. I am already getting much stronger. I am able to walk around the house with my crutches. I do not know when I’m returning to work, but I’m getting stronger and have more stamina.
The weather is not good over the next few days. I’m going to stay inside. No more ice skating for me. I do have a dr appointment this week on Thursday. I’m hoping for good weather on Thursday.
We have had at least 4 meals prepared for us this week. What a relief. My little sister came from SC to help take care of me. Such a huge help. She has helped me with my medicine, she has been preparing food and getting drinks for me. She has helped clean and run the kids around. All this and taking care of my awesome nephew. Seeing her be a mom is pretty cool. I can’t thank her enough for all she’s done for me and my family.
We have had so many visitors. It blesses my heart to have so many family and friends stop by to check on me.
I am home during the day starting Monday. If you have any availability between 11-1 during the week, I could use some visitors. It would be helpful to have someone help prepare lunch and make sure I have what I need during the day. Please text Kelly with a day you could stop by or message me here.
I am so blessed. The Lord is working in me and through me. I hope that those coming to visit can see that, I can do the things I do because He is strengthening me. I believe that having CP and enduring around 25 surgeries and subsequent recoveries and all the difficulties I’ve faced have been easier than it would be with out faith. With faith in Christ I am an overcomer. Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and complete healing. I believe that Jesus bore his stripes so I could be healed.
