John’s Story

Site created on September 2, 2019

John  was admitted to Saint Luke's East hospital (Kansas City) on Oct 19, 2022.   Upon arrival,  John was immediately admitted to the ICU with below normal body temp, low heart rate, congestion and weakness.  After several tests and lab work,  John is  currently being treated for infection, believed to have been caused  through a UTI.  John has several issues that his care team is monitoring and treating, including, decreased kidney function, trouble breathing and blockages around the left lung.  Most of these symptoms mirror the journal entries from this time in 2019, where John was hospitalized for several weeks.  We ask for your continued prayers and positive vibes for a full recovery. Thank you for your love and support!

Gratitude can transform any situation. It alters your thoughts, moving you from negative energy to positive. It's the quickest, easiest, most powerful way to recognize all of the beauty surrounding your life. This morning, I woke up with immense gratitude that John walked into my mom's life, 20+ years ago. His love has caused a Butterfly Effect of the most epic proportion. Although we hoped, prayed and envisioned a different plan for the near future, we are working with the care team to plan for hospice care within the next couple of days.  We are all so thankful for our friends and family around the world that continue to hold John in their thoughts and prayers. Go out into the world and show a little gratitude for those you hold dear ♥ ♥

Love,
Victoria
