Sending love to the McGrew family. I’m so glad you had Christmas together. He was one of a kind and handled his illness with courage and optimism.

So sorry for your loss. I hadn't seen John in more than 10 years, but sure do have some fun and funny memories of him from riding bikes and seeing him around at various gatherings and with mutual friends. He will be missed by many.
Thank you, Carolyn. That was beautifully written. I'm genuinely glad that you were all able to share Christmas together.
I know it may sound like a cliche'... but I really do believe that "I felt a great disturbance in the force" on Monday morning. It wasn't long before I heard the news.
Few souls I've come across in my life have truly earned the label "Larger than Life"... but Johnny was every bit of that. And more. I recently came across the M&Ms oven mitt that Johnny gave me for Christmas one year. That is one grin I'll always treasure.
So beautifully said!! Thank you so very very much for sharing. We will all miss him! I am beyond grateful to have spent quality time with him this past summer at our reunion!!! Love you Johnny!!
My husband, Marc and I were very saddened to learn of Johnny’s passing. He was such a fighter and had an inspirational attitude. May he rest in eternal peace and may his memory be a blessing. Johnny was a wonderful man. Thank you for writing to us and sharing his last Christmas experience where he was surrounded by those who love him. We wish you strength during this difficult time.
Sending all our love and care to Johnny's family and friends. I have so many fun and happy memories. There will never be another like him. Love Mary & Bruce
