John is HOME!

We had a scare last night.  John's heart rate dropped to 27- that is without methadone in his system.   His heart rate should be in the 80's plus.  This has happened a few times and the doctors thought it was the medications.   Tiffany and the Doctors came up with a monitoring plan. John was sent home with a wireless heart monitor that is observed from the hospital.  If something happens the hospital will call Tiffany and then dispatch medical assistance if needed.  This gives us a little peace of mind.  I was concerned not only for John but Tiffany as well.  It is extremely hard being a caretaker, she would not be able to sleep or rest worrying that something would happen.

John will have a feeding tube for 4-6 weeks.  He can have some food via the mouth. The vast majority of his foods & all liquids have to go through the tube every 4 hours until bedtime.

Now, everyone has to learn to adjust to the new normal.

Thank you for all of your love & support!  We would not be here without all of your prayers.
