Hi All, 

John was successful in coming of the ventilator the other day and has since had great progress. He has moved out of the ICU! He can talk, eat and drink. The only medication that he is on is insulin and some antibiotics. Doctors are watching his pancreas closely. CT scans show that it is still inflamed and fluid gathering around it. If that continues to worsen they will need to do another surgery to add a drain.  He is also suffering from Delirium which has been hard for us. He is confused and weak but still has his sense of humor. 
As long as things keep on this path, The next step is rehab to gain his strength back.
