So, here I am at a time in my life where no one wishes to be. Each beautiful new day will be appreciated more now than ever before. The diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer was completely unexpected. I had some indications of pain near my lung, only after I had received treatment to help the back and leg pain I had been experiencing for what seemed like forever. So far, the doctor's have said it is too early for a prognosis.
The most important people in my life my wife Noreen and my children Danielle, Sean, Keith and Brian are all on-board and unbelievably supportive. The real burden of my illness will be borne by them. I am so sorry that they all must go through this.
My daughters-in law are the absolute best. Colleen, Sarah, Jourdan and Christine mean so much to me. They are rocks, so fun-filled and loving and, of course, good moms – that includes Rookie. It’s fun to be a Fraser.
Our grandchildren Chloe, Nolan, Caleb, Blake and Silas are the best things that have happened in the last few years. They fill us with joy and happiness when we are with them and when we are apart.
I start my treatments, chemotherapy this week and radiation soon. I will do everything the doctors want me to do and more to maintain the quality of my life. I will be a very positive patient and take one day at a time.
Noreen and I have made many friends throughout our years together in New York, New Jersey and North Carolina. Each of you are remembered and known to us in special ways. I thank you for your friendship. Our children have more friends than I can possibly count and memories of the times I spent with each of them precious.
This website is a way for people to be informed about how I will be progressing. I know people want to call Noreen and get information and express their well-wishes but that is very taxing on her. Selfishly, she needs to focus on family. So, please use this site as much as possible.
