My story - The birth of Serving humanity.
Motivated by my Mother who was in rescuing of trafficked girls from red light areas for past 20yrs in Mumbai, & My Dad who passed away in 2018 in serving people & God….
"It was as usually I came home from office soon on that day since Corona was spreading, office where I worked for Against Malnutrition was shut soon and we planned to come after few days, but on that night our Honorable PM declared complete lockdown from midnight which, shocked me up, I had no money in my account nor in my hands, didn't know what to do. Days passed by, on March 30 my friend Babu said yaar, "i saw few Muslim bros distributing food packs to poor in need why we can't go and be a volunteer with them and help such".
I Had only 350rs in my bank account, one of our fellow volunteers gave 200 first, we contributed around 1400rs. We started by its first day of cooking on March 31 afternoon for one time dinner. We packed 200 meal packs .One team including myself went to the Jungle area where adivasi stays, and the other 4 people went on the streets..
We continued then food distribution work in adivasi area for many days
We turned our Prayer hall in Kitchen, our youth team became volunteers, some went to purchase from mulund market early morning, some for cutting, packing and distribution we did together.
Also we did distributed Snacks like Kellogg's Nutrition products packs to poor kids about 1000 packs in first slot, then 2000 packs in 2nd slot, Also Did we distributed Kelloggs muesli to Mumbai Police. We did distributed Thousands of Nutrition snacks like, soya grains, bajra mix, murmure we distributed in numbers to poor kids, and food pkts to migrant labourers also each day. Still we are continuing the work among the people in need.
Till now we have reached with 1000000 plus food packs, more than 3500 families with grocery kits, still we are continuing with the cooking & feeding program, Grocery kit distribution for widows here in Bhandup west.
We are doing it as resources comes in like groceries to cook among this pandemic towards people on streets and daily wage labourers from our Prayer hall where we have set up a small kitchen, our plan is to reach out daily atleast one time food for those on footpaths and roadside, we need support for this.
I live among vast slum area called Bhandup west pipeline Tulshetpada (u can find in Google earth) which is now developed a little, there we found many poor kids of daily wage laborers who are going to municipal schools but are not getting proper coaching or teaching which have made their study skills tough, for this we started free learning program, for students class 1 to 7, we give them coaching in each subject personally I have gave the coaching part to my wife who teaches the kids from Monday to Friday,
But the children need education materials like, school bags, writing pads, chairs, notebooks, colours, crayons, knowledge books, long books, pencils, pens, stationeries etc. Which you can send in. We also do celebrate the birthdays, anniversaries of people among street children and needful as per request of people..and give them food and goodies
Our desire is to build a big center of education, health & nutrition in future at nearby slum pockets, which will cater to the needful for which i am looking forward, It Will be grateful if any can come forward in support of the same which will benefit the marginalized community. In the center we will teach the poor job skills in which they will be taught that how the work to be done, like organic soap making, candle making, handicraft article, tailoring, beauty courses etc, that they can learn and able to earn on their own.
The kids will be provided with computer education too in the center. For this we are looking for kind hearted people who can come forward to support. That we can continue to serve humanity more with many activities in coming days.
