Newest Update

Journal entry by Jessica Gilman

I haven’t written here in awhile cause things have been going really well. Not much news to report. John was 90% back to normal for 3 weeks. Then this past week he’s been very nauseous and sleeping all day again.

We met with Dr Kalmadi today and he said that his nausea is likely caused by being on high doses of pain meds without actually having any pain. So he’s dropping his doses and we’re going to slowly wean him off.

He also said that he was “very impressed” by his bloodwork. His cancer markers and liver markers have dropped way down, indicating that the immunotherapy is working. He will have a CT scan in two weeks to confirm.

So hopefully the pain meds are actually the problem and we can get back to normal again...
