Hello everyone,
As many of you may know, on May, 26th my Dad, John Anderson was found at the Trail of Tears rest stop in Anna, Illinois. Dad sustained severe trauma to his head and face causing multiple injuries. Dad was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis where he is currently in the ICU unit. We do not know how my Dad came about his injuries, but we are working hard to find answers to what may have caused him to be in this condition. My Dad is a fighter, and he has continued to fight every single day since. We are currently on day 16 and he has been taken off of sedation and paralytics earlier in week. The doctors are currently evaluating his condition to decide which path we go down next. One thing about this though is my Dad is the strongest man I know inside and out. While nothing is for sure each and every day, we are no where near giving up in getting my Dad back on his feet. The abundance of prayers and support from so many loved ones really shows how many lives my Dad has touched. We appreciate all of the kind things that have been done for him and as we go throughout this time. I will be updating this page daily so that everyone that is close to him can find out how he is doing in his recovery. Once again we cannot thank each and every one of you enough for all of your prayers and support. I will give everyone an update tomorrow.
