Thank you, Cindy. Means so much...I wonder if any of you reading this studied under Ed Cone, my beloved uncle...another teacher who greatly affected his students over the years at Princeton.

What wonderful memories and connections you continue to draw and weave from your experiences with Joel. Had to go back and listen to the entire Bernstein performance, which was certainly not a morning ill-spent. Thank you, Cindy, for continuing to share this legacy with us! Joel’s presence continues to surround and bless us.

Cindy! I was *literally* just re-reading the NYT feature on MAESTRO, before sending it on to a couple of interested parties—so fascinating and moving to read about his enduring influence in the conducting world (and Bradley Cooper’s dedication to getting him right). How wonderful to then read your BEAUTIFUL and detailed memoir of Joel’s interactions with him, and the tendrils of wisdom and heart that connect some of humanity’s best people.

Thank you Cindy. What an amazing story! I worked with Lennie twice at Tanglewood, unforgettable. But Joel was so lucky to have great and generous teachers and he gave back tenfold! And I can't imagine him being a terror, he was just too kind. His works follow after him
