Journal entry by Jenny Schwab —
Michele, Gareth, and Joan have been incredibly busy, with the help of friends and family, planning for this weekend's celebration of life. There are just so many details involved when planning a service and what will no doubt be a great party.
Zaya came to visit her Lindwall cousins this weekend, to give her a little extra attention and the grown ups in Norwood a chance to clean, organize, and try to put some order back into the house. We loved having her and her constant energy and enthusiasm. She certainly loves meat like her dad, as after we served pancakes for breakfast, she asked where the sausage was and then ate it with gusto. It was a nice break for everyone and we loved having a 5 year old to help us get into the Halloween Spirit.
As Joan recovers from her partial hip replacement and broken wrist and Gareth and Michele try to balance the work of family, jobs, and grieving, they feel all of your love and support.
We look forward to seeing some of you this weekend, but understand that not everyone will be able to join us. There are opportunities to donate on Joel's announcement to both Pancreatic Cancer and Zaya's college fund.
In addition, many of you have asked about food. So, we are setting up a meal train to give those who would like the opportunity to help make a few week nights a bit easier on the family. Meal Train is a website where you can sign up to deliver a meal and the details are on the site. Click on the link below if you are interested.

Thank you to everyone for your kind wishes, love, and support.

A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Joel's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
