Joel’s Story

Site created on October 23, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Joel is having a quadruple bypass surgery on Oct. 24th.  It was determined that a bypass surgery was necessary after he had a Angiogram that showed 90-95% blockage in the circumflex artery and 80% blockage in the LAD artery and two other arteries that flow from it.  We are praying that all goes well and appreciate your prayers and well wishes also.

Journal entry by Karen Cedars

Hi all,  Joel is at 13 and a half weeks now and all done with the recovery phase of his surgery.  He will however go to Cardio Rehab for a few more weeks just to transition to work.  He needs to work at strength and endurance now.  He can lift weights and swim now which is great.  He is doing very well but still needs to lay down for an hour after work.  We are very happy with how well everything is going.  So this is the last journal entry.
We want to thank everyone for your prayers and thoughts and giving.  You have helped us tremendously and we are very grateful!  We hope you have a wonderful year!
