Journal entry by Sandra Emerson —
Joe finally finished his last chemo session Monday a week ago. The last few sessions he felt the effects with a little nausea and not much of an appetite. But he is now back to feeling well and going about his daily routine with no after effects.
He had a scan on Thursday afternoon. The results posted are positive in that there does not seem to be any further occurrences on other organs and his liver is doing well.
We will not know the next steps until next doctor appointments in a couple of weeks.
Mary has finished chemo and is finally beginning to feel better. She has lingering side effects that we are hoping will go away soon. She has 9 more radiation treatments to go. She is beginning to burn and that is somewhat painful. But she is plowing through it all trying to stay positive. She is having a much more difficult time than Joe. Different chemos and different people. It does not affect all the same.
