We have put together Team 'Papa Joe' Gruss to walk in support of Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Today alone, 145 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and 118 families will receive the news that their loved one passed away.Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 9%.

SAVE THE DATE! Please join us by either sponsoring our team, joining our team, or by simply just showing up and walking with us on October 27th. It would mean the world to me and to me and my Mom. *More information to follow as we get closer to the event.

Sunday October 27th

9:00am

Magnusun Park, Seattle

My Father, Joe Gruss, was diagnosed in June of 2018, 2 weeks before his retirement.

We were told that he had anywhere from 3 months to 3 years to live, with a median survival rate of 1 year if he underwent aggressive treatment. My Dad was a fighter, both in his career and in his personal life, so his decision to fight without complaint or worry did not surprise us. His bravery and determination to 'live' was so inspiring, despite the knowledge of what Pancreatic Cancer likely (and did) have planned for him- excruciating pain, inability to eat coupled with side effects from intensive chemo. As a family we became his team, caring for him daily and standing beside him as he navigated living his last year on his terms. While my Dad is now physically gone, his spirit remains. We are honoring him by continuing his fight against Pancreatic Cancer.

Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating today, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Please join the fight today.
