Journal entry by Amy Browne —
Still saying HI from the 6th floor at GL 😏 It was thought that maybe Joe would go home Saturday, but Friday ended up being a chaos of a day for Joe as he woke up retching and had high heart rate and blood pressure and also complaining of some chest pain. He ended up getting a full torso CT which didn’t show much except for improvement in the abscess in the belly (yay for something). Labs (the next morning) would show that Joe had critical low sodium and phosphate, and critically high platelets. The last few days have been spent trying to get a better balance of his electrolytes along with his fluid/feed intake.
It’s definitely been a bumpy ride 😭 we are hoping it can only go uphill from here 🤞🙏
