I know that those of us at the Pines were so comforted by the very meaningful words at the service yesterday. They captured our memories of both your wonderful parents. May God's peace be with you, Sherard, your children and family. You are in our prayers as you find your way in a new beginning.

We were so overwhelmed by the truth and beauty of the service honoring your parents. Thank you for making it possible to share this experience. Our love and concern for your family is sent to each of you.

Such a gift to be able to participate from afar in the service for your parents today, Stewart. The themes of faith, family, and service to others stood out to me and so reflected the gifts of your family. It was also good to hear how you learned your love of card playing. May family traditions and legacies (large and small) live on in your life and those of your children. Warm thoughts and prayers for strength and healing from Durham.

Stewart thought the tribute to your mother and father at Eastminster today was beautiful. I know it was hard for your whole family to do this, but I am sure it is the best thing for all of you. God be with you at this time and give you comfort. Love, Kay
