Journal entry by Joanne Foote —
Hello all. Yesterday was my anniversary of diagnosis, year 3. What do you do with that? Well I was deep in thought most of the day. We did get cake and ice cream to celebrate that I am alive and doing ok.
My disease has been a difficult one. It has been trying to get active once again which resulted in the month of March being a month of procedures for me. I had a port installed to have ease for my next round of chemo. I also got my knee scoped to fix a torn meniscus and get some relief from all the arthritus that was in it. That had to be done before I started treatment on March 28th.
I have made it through my first three rounds of my new treatment well. Just a bit of nausea and shortness of breath. My dex night is tuesday night which means not much sleep and really hungry. I do sleep good wednesday night.
So thats been my month. I had a wonderful four months of immunotherapy which gave my body a break from nov through march.
I will be on this treatment for the near future. Thanks for following along in my journey. Its quite combersome at times. Prayers for our family as a whole would be great. Our family has a bit of a fracture that is also hard to deal with but we covet your prayers for us all.
God is good, he continues to hold me when I am weak. I am so thankful to have my faith to rely on to get us through all things that come our way.
