I was so fortunate to know Joanna through tennis friends and to meet Scott through Joanna and Scott’s good friends, Sally and John Lincoln. Both were such vibrant and wonderful people. Joanna was a fun tennis partner and one sumner joined our group on the Cape. Scott described her beautifully as a moonbeam and I will always remember her lightness, her spirit, her generosity and her attentiveness to others.

Craig, Bill, and Liz - and your spouses and kids,

Heather and I send our deepest condolences, and a BIG hug and squeeze. I loved your mom.

It was the fall of 1987, maybe spring of 1988? when Craig had me over to your house in Deerfield and I met your mom. For the next 3 years, there were a lot of Sunday night hangs with the Creelman crew watching America's Funniest Home Videos together before returning back to a Deerfield dorm. Your mom was always there with an ear-to-ear smile and giggle, keeping Craig and I straight at the same time. She and Scott hosted an amazing senior party at their house and she was such a great hostess. This continued through the many winter parties they hosted, many of which Scott wore his blue jumpsuit. Loved it!

As I went off to college, the time with Joanna and Scott dwindled a bit, but we were able to hang in Nantucket a few summers. Her energy and devotion to her kids was the same as it was on Main Street. Different place, same love and affection. As life progressed, I didn't get to see her as much, but when I did, I was impressed with her memory and care. I remember her asking, "How's the job at Club Med Dave? I was flabbergasted....who remembers their kid's friend's employer? Joanna did.

I will always remember her infectious spirit of happiness and I am glad that she and Scott are reunited in heaven. They made this world a better place and I miss them both dearly. -Dave Goodridge

Bill & I will always remember Joanna & Scott as vibrant, committed, loving, fun people who touched absolutely everyone they met. We traveled with them a bit and our friends whom they might only have met once were instantly their friends too. They both had a sincere love of people and you could feel their positive energy from across the room. And Joanna's laugh! She laughed and she laughed. Made me laugh even though I didn't know what was funny. I used to tell Joanna she was Deerfield's version of Mary Poppins! And she said "How so?" As the song goes, "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun and - SNAP - the job's a game." She always seemed to be having a "rollicking" good time even in the midst of the some of the numberous exhausting volunteer events in Deerfield. . First to show up, last to leave....never a complaint. What an incredible spirit.

In Craig, Bill and Lizzie I see Joanna & Scott; not just in appearance but so much of the wonderful traits and character that Joanna & Scott had now live on through them. So they are still with us in a sense, in their children and their precious grandchildren.

We loved them both and we'll never forget them. Linda & Bill

Good morning,

We had the good fortune of being friends with the entire Creelman family for many, many years.
As we wander out to our brook, we will remember Joanna over and over.

Our love, Kay and John
