Jim’s Story

Site created on July 21, 2021

Hi Friends, Family and co workers.  We are using this site to keep everyone updated in one place. We appreciate your support, encouragement and sarcastic quips for Jim.  Thank you for visiting.

Late Monday afternoon we rushed Jim to the ER with a bad headache and weird vision issues. He ended up having a hemorrhagic stroke. No surgery was needed, and they are stabling him with medication while monitoring him closely in the ICU. His cognition and speech have not been affected, but his balance and some motor skills have been.

With the medication as well as the dizziness he is experiencing he is not on his phone very much and won’t be able to respond to many text messages for the time being. You can check this site for updates.

The plan is to have him be monitored in the ICU for another couple of days.

Please pray for a quick recovery for our good friend!!

Good-bye hospitals!

Jim is officially being discharged from United on Friday, 8/6 and will be heading home. There's still a long road ahead, but we know how much Jim is ready to get back home.

A big "Thank you" to those who were able to visit, as it broke up the monotony of being stuck at the hospital and really lifted his spirits. Another big "Thank you" to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and well wishes.
