This was awesome! Jim was my neighbor, my friend, and a wonderful influence to my children. I enjoyed our backyard talks about anything from politics to religion and anything in between. I canāt stress enough what a great guy Jim was. I can only imagine the struggle for his family to learn life without him. He absolutely loved his family and was INCREDIBLY proud of each of his kids. He frequently told me how proud he was of his kids and how much he loved Debe. He always admitted to being a crab@$$ like my hubby and many times said he doesnāt know how Debe puts up with him. The sheer honest conversations we had without judgement (besides politics, thank goodness we shared views there!!!) was what made him a great friend and neighbor. My heart hurt thinking of him uncomfortable after Halloween but warmed my heart knowing his family was with him every step of the way. When Jim first got his diagnoses he told
Me thatās heās really enjoying being the center of attention, little did he know he always was. We shared similar sarcasm and stupid humor at the expense of each other, I feel like he challenged me and made me a better sarcasm junkie.
Miss you already Jimā¤ļø and looking forward to you watching over us until we meet again!
I will miss Jim very much. He was fun to work with and gave me a lot of solid advice in regard to raising my kids. He was a great guy and character. I am glad he got to see the Buckeyes beat Michigan one last time. My love and condolences to Debe , the kids and grandkids. He was so proud of you all!
A lovely tribute to a good and honest man. We can take solace that he died in the arms and presence of his family and that he felt good about his time on earth. May we all be so blessed and may we hope for some more good conversations with Jim when we meet again. Love to all, Mary
