Mr. Selby holds a special place in my heart. His eyes were so kind and loving. He always encouraged and never judged. I’m grateful for the time spent with him. He was lover of the great books and his favorite actor was Arnold Schwarzenegger. I can still hear his voice now— asking me to create my own punishment for skipping class but without shame, only love. I wish I could go back and read one more book with you. You’ll be missed but I’ll keep those memories we had close.
