Jim’s Story

Site created on July 26, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

December 2017 Dad suffered his first heart attack, in which they put 5 stents in and we were all so thankful for this amazing Christmas gift. Sadly, this combined with many new medicines, he suffered another heart attack late January 2019 and they put another 5 stents in. Then, another event on July 22 leading to finding his heart was 99% clogged. He is now in the ICU waiting on next steps, dependent on medical devices to keep his heart beating, which poses its own risks with every day he's on these. All this in the midst of a pandemic, where we are unable to visit him in the hospital.  We need God's mercy and favor on our sweet Dad, and every prayer makes a different in the heavenly realms, we truly believe. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and also lift him up to our Heavenly Father during this time. Words can't express our gratitude.

Journal entry by Mary Leichter

We had a great welcoming on Wednesday!

Getting settled in has been good.  We almost feel like normal people again, although life will NEVER be normal again; in a good way.  We feel with every breath, that we want to express thanks for our dear friends and family for upholding Jim in prayer to make it through.   It may be so redundant, but our every thoughts will include a thanksgiving and glory to God for the rest of the days the Lord gives us.

I started to list everyone who has come alongside us, all the daily prayer warriors, comments, texts, cards, etc...and it was too much, so please take my 'thank you' to your heart and know how much we love you.  Please call or visit anytime.  We'll see you around.

Patients and caregivers love hearing from you; add a comment to show your support.
