Regarding the growth on my left kidney,  I spent five days in the hospital after removal operation and then was moved to a skilled nursing facility for another week.  The long incision and adjacent drainage area were quite painful, but I tell myself;no pain, no gain.  Pain has reduced and I came home yesterday with a walker and in-home therapy..  The good news is they feel they completely removed the cancerous 1b mass with only minimal kidney removal required.  It was wonderful that the skilled nursing facility was within a few miles of my son Jon and two of my daughters, so I had frequent visitors and my grandsons could wave to grandpa through my garden window.

I am on the mend and want to thank each of you for your kind thoughts and prayers
