Journal entry by Jessica Bibza —
Those of us who loved Jim and are dealing with the grief of his passing, please know that his final moments were very peaceful. One beloved friend was with him as they moved him from the ICU to his hospice room. Another was with him moments after they removed the tubes and held his hand, listing off the names of the many, many people who love him. Another friend was there a short while later sharing love and hugs from all of us.
They all said that the hospice room was peaceful: filled with nature scenes, soft music, and gentle lights. It was a much more comforting place than ICU. In his final moments and even after, he continued to be surrounded by his loving friends. We will miss you dearly friend.
