Hi Erich, Becky Kolemainen here, one of Jill's former housemates in Chip Arms 4 at CMU. I just watched the video Callan produced. What a glorious and precious memorial to the heart of Jill. Everything was captured but the love that radiates from every photo is so evident. Jill's personality, her excitement for living life...... you know it all and thank you for sharing all this with us. My memories of Jill will forever be precious to me. This video honors her greatly. Thank you. I ask God to bring comfort to you and your family, to uplift you daily and bless you beyond measure. I am so deep in your beautiful love story and the searing pain of a loss this grand. It's extraordinary what picture you've painted for all of us - what it means to love well and to help a person live so well. Erich, I lived directly across the hall from Jill at CMU. I saw her every day and hung out in her room as long as she'd have me. Her world overlapped with mine in several circles. Our Dad's were colleagues and pastors in the United Methodist Church as well. It's been many many years since I've seen Jill. But, this loss is hard on me, nevertheless. It's a layered story, but I treasured her. She was the girlfriend of one of my best friends for awhile too - so that made me love her more. I just watched the slide show... ALL OF IT. I cry myself to sleep this evening, on your behalf and on my own. I have lost both my parents in recent months thus rendering me utterly disoriented. Grief is on the tip of my tongue always. Thanks for sharing your stunning heart of love for her - with all of us. How blessed you were to be her beloved. How deeply, deeply sorry I am that your life with her was cut so short. It breaks me to the bone.

Erich, I love the video, and the care you put into describing the songs, and all the memories of Jill. She and I shared a love for U2’s MLK and it will always make me think of her. Chris and I would love to get together with you soon.
