How can it be May already? Quick update on me:
As of today I have completed 25 of 33 radiation treatments! Pretty exciting to be done soon! Radiation has its own set of struggles but overall I'm doing well! Skin changes and burning is probably the most bothersome during this portion of the fight! About 2 weeks ago I had surgery to remove my left reconstruction as I had fluid accumulation and it was "throwing off" the Radiation. They were worried the fluid was shifting my chest wall and the Radiation was ending up in the wrong place...my heart. So surgery went well and this Thursday I can hopefully get my drain removed. Amazingly they restarted Radiation 2 days after surgery. Soon we will make the move back to Wyoming. So very excited to be near my mama and our kids, family and friends. Life has thrown us some curve balls but we are still over here fighting!
Ohhhhhh and most exciting...growing some hair. All about those silver linings. ❤️. Go get your Mammogram because i love you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
