Thank you to everyone for following Jessica's on caring bridge.  This will be our last entry, just wanted to say thank you all for keeping her in your prayers.  She came home yesterday, and we are very blessed to have her home.  She is feeling upbeat, and very positive.  Just a little weak, but strength will come back in time.  Jess will be doing dialysis 3 days a week, until a matching kidney is found.  Then she will be going for transplant.  Just please continue keeping her in your prayers. God's still working on her.

What a wonderful morning.  Not only did Jessica get her feeding tube out yesterday, but she also put her leg braces on and walked down the hallway and back.  Of course she decided to do it when I went home for a few hours, with Brian here with here.  Yes Steve and I were amazed when we got back and saw her walking.  But it really wore her out.  Last night was the best sleep (real, regular sleep), she and I had since this has started, 12 days ago.  Now she is sitting in a chair and just finished her breakfast, waiting for the day to get started.  Love you all, please continue praying.  God's still working on her!

Jessica had a good night last night.  After the busy day yesterday of dialysis and have a new IV line put in, they had to give her a pint of blood.  She has not lost any, it's just part of the process of what all has gone on.  She was give out.  But she woke up strong, and decided she wanted out of the bed.  So we got her a chair and she got herself over into it.  I changed the bedding and we got her hair brushed and put up in a ponytail.  Taking things slow, but progressing.  Thanks everyone.  We will keep you updated.

Today has been a great day, for seeing Miss personality totally back.  She has been 100% herself today.  I feel as if it has been forever.  She still has some climbs to make, but she is going to conquer them.  Right now, it's a battle with her feeding tube, I'm watching to see who wins..🙈🤦‍♀️...then we move on to getting up ...please keep Jessica in your prayers...Gods still working on her...😘  Gonna be ready for transplant when matching donor is found...

Jessica manage sleeping around 4 1/2 hours last night.  Once she got awake early this morning, she ask for her phone.  Not only was she holding it on her own, but she is able to use it on her own.  Which was a wonderful sight for me.  She is at dialysis now as I write in the journal, but she has her phone with her, so I can text or talk with her while she is there.  They just called to talk with me about the feeding tube, from dietary.  They want to keep it in 1 to 2 more days, depending on how well she does with food.  She has been in the hospital for 13 days now, with only 1 night at home between being in for the UTI, and now this.  She is getting better, slowly, but doctors say that's how it should be.  Continue your prayers please, and thank you for keeping up with our girl.

Even tho no sleep last night, there has been no sleep today either.  Sometimes I wonder if maybe she is a little scared to close her eyes.  I just can't imagine what all has gone through her mind this past week.   But on a good note, the nephrologist   came in and is still positive.  Jessica's dad brought her a ball to use for her motor skills.  It has really helped.     She has sat up on edge of bed today with PT.  Did wonderful with speech therapist.  She ate a good lunch, with me feeding her, but later was able to hold her own cup of water and drink.  By time dinner came, she sat up in bed and used her own fork and fed herself.  Great progress.  We have bathed and she has her own gown on now., the Foley catheter is now gone.  They have changed her medicine back to pills now that she can swallow.  Still having a little trouble with blood pressure, and confusion.  The far away look is still there also.  The paranoia has not been as bad today.  But I know her personality will come back soon to stay.  I sure do miss it.  They want things to come back slowly, the brain has to do it on its own time.  Thank you all for the prayers, they have gotten her this far.  God's still working.   But this girl has she got this, I know it, because she has him on her side.   Just like I know there is another kidney donor match out there for her.  Trying not to overload everyone on every detail  but to me they are mountains that are being conquered.  And when Jess gets able to read everything she will have the understanding of what all has gone on.   Love to you all.

What do I say about last night?  Jess has not slept.  She still has a good bit of confusion going on.  Also still very paranoid.  Blood pressure is high, and still checking blood sugar.  She is not saying much, but does speak when you ask her things.  On a good note, she has drank nearly a 20 oz bottle of water, and twice she sat up in the bed on her own.  Took her a few tries, but she did it.  Hopefully the feeding tube will come out today.  Brian is back at work, so I will post as things occur.  Please keep continuing to pray.  She still has a ways to go.  🙏🏻🙏🏻

Jess is still in a sadness spell, and has been a little paranoid.  Speech therapist came in, she did really good. She started off with ice chips, then water out of a spoon and on to a straw.  She also tried applesauce, which didn't go over to well, (Jess does not like applesauce).  But the chocolate pudding and graham cracker was a hit.  She did a great job on swallowing.  Later they brought in mash potatoes and gravy, and she had a few bites.  Maybe get the feeding tube out tomorrow.  She is really tired now, (me to) so we are going to try and get some sleep.  Love to everyone, and just continue praying.
