Journal entry by Jacqueline Paisley —
Jessica's journey began on May 23, 2021 when she noticed that her left leg was red, swollen, and very painful. After going to the emergency room at Northside Cherokee it was confirmed that she has cellulitus and lymphedema. Currently a source of the infection has not been found and infectious disease doctors continue to struggle to find an effective antibiotic to treat her. Jessica is currently on oxygen round the clock and no date has been set for release. Jessica and her family are asking for prayers and small donations to help with the expenses of such a lengthy hospital stay. I will continue to post updates as we receive news. Thank you for your love and well wishes!
